Around four in 10 U.S. adults don’t know they have high blood pressure, according to a recent survey by the National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS).
Too many people, especially men, are unaware of their high blood pressure, said Cheryl Fryar, MSPH, an NCHS health statistician and a researcher for the new survey.
Between 2021 and 2023, nearly half of U.S. adults had high blood pressure, and the rates were slightly higher in men than women.
