The Taxi: A Rickety Start

Lagos

I can never forget the day I had to take public transport. I had gone to visit some old schoolmates and on my way back to town, my car had broken down along the highway.

I got out my mobile phone to call my mechanic, but he was not answering. Just as I was about to get down from the car, his call came through.

I asked if he could come to where I was, describing the spot where the car had broken down. He said he could and would be heading there right away. He added that he  would be there in the next 30 minutes.
