Former federal lawmaker, Senator Shehu Sani, has urged the Nigerian government to demand an investigation and explanation from its United States counterpart over an incident at JFK Airport in New York affecting Vice President Kashim Shettima’s plane.
DAILY POST reports that a statement issued on Thursday by a presidential media aide, Bayo Onanuga, said the VP’s plane was hit by a “foreign object” at the airport.
The incident led to the cancellation of Shettima’s planned trip to the 2024 Commonwealth Heads of Government Summit in Samoa.
