After weeks of extensive publicity across television, social media, radio, billboards, and newspapers, Wale Adenuga Productions (WAP) has announced the premiere of the highly anticipated PAPA AJASCO n and COMPANY: GEN Z PAPI TV Comedy, set to air on October 1, 2024.
This new iteration of the beloved, multi-award-winning Papa Ajasco & Company follows the titular character, Papa Ajasco, also known as Gen Z Papi, as he navigates the world of superstardom as a successful afrobeats musician while competing with another artist, Emperor Agu.
The show retains its main characters—Papa Ajasco, Pa James, Mama Ajasco, Boy Alinco, and Miss Pepeiye—while introducing a host of new supporting characters played by notable actors including Jude Chukwuka, Jide Kosoko, and others.
Wale Adenuga Jnr., producer of Papa Ajasco & Company: Gen Z Papi, remarked, “Since the series began airing in Nigeria in 1997, it has garnered a large, multi-generational viewership.
