“eating both physical and spiritual food” – Nigerian man shamɘlessly devours vegetable soup and ‘akpu’ in church during the sermon (VIDEO)

A Nigerian man has turned heads as he shamelessly devours vegetable soup and ‘akpu’ popularly known as Fufu in church during the sermon.

Sharing on TikTok, the man @brownsugar2899 noted that his favourite meal was prepared on a Sunday morning, leaving him no choice but to consume it in the church.

He had arrived at the church with a polythene bag packaged with a plate of vegetable soup and a few wraps of akpu. 

In the process of unwrapping the bag, his actions attracted the attention of a brethren sitting close to him. The brethren marveled at the man’s shocking attitude but ended up respecting his privacy.

In spite of the congregation’s expression, the man consumed two wraps of akpu during the sermon. He molded and rolled the akpu persistently before devouring it with soup like a typical Igbo man, neglecting the stares and laughter from other brethren.

The video has generated negative opinions as many criticized the man for disrespecting the sacred house by eating during the sermon. Internet users questioned whether the church had no usher to caution its congregation.

Netizens speculated that the man was feeding on both physical and spiritual meals in the sacred house.
