Emir Of Ilorin Applauds Recognition Of Annual Durbar

The Emir of Ilorin,  Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, has expressed delight over the recognition accorded the Ilorin  Emirate’s annual durbar by the international community and multinational organisations.

The Ilorin annual durba  holds every second day of the Eid-el-Kabir festival.

The emir spoke in Ilorin while receiving members of the Ilorin Emirate Durbar Committee led by its chairman, Engr. Yahaya Alapansanpa, in his palace in Ilorin.

The committee was at the emir’s palace to receive royal blessings ahead of the commencement of the 2024 durbar activities.

Sulu-Gambari expressed delight with the partnerships the committee had gotten from people of the emirate, local and state governments and particularly, multinationals.

He assured that he would continue to give the committee necessary support and prayers, noting that the committee had never disappointed him since its inauguration. He urged the members to keep up the good work.

 

Earlier, Engr Yahaya Alapansanpa described the emir as a man of God who is always interested in the progress and unity of his people.

 

He thanked the emir for the confidence reposed in the committee and pledged to make the 2024 grand durbar more unique and remarkable.
