Bayer Leverkusen striker Victor Boniface will miss the rest of the year as a result of injury.
The 23-year-old sustained a muscle fiber tear in his right thigh in the Super Eagles 2-1 home defeat against the Amavubi of Rwanda at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo on Monday.
Boniface missed training on Thursday after returning from international duty.
