A Nigerian lady has stirred reactions online as she queries a potato vendor for consuming raw sweet potatoes at the market.
In the video shared online, the lady @big_yemss wonders if the country’s economy is so terrible to the extent of consuming raw potatoes.
According to the potato vendor, he started eating raw potatoes in the morning due to low market sales and the lack of funds to purchase a proper meal.
The man lamented that the lack of sales in the previous and present-day led him to eat the potatoes he sells.
Following the lady’s question on the economy, he exclaimed that the situation is quite hard and difficult to survive especially as a market vendor.
Meanwhile, Internet users have stormed the comment section as many revealed that eating raw sweet potatoes is healthy and the majority of the North residents consume it.
Netizens noted that the raw consumption of sweet potatoes is the same as eating raw cassava.
