Southampton manager Russell Martin
heaped plaudits on Joe Aribo despite his side’s home defeat to Chelsea.
The Saints were thrashed 5-1 by Enzo Maresca’s side at the St Mary’s Stadium on Wednesday night.
Aribo scored the Southampton’s only goal of the game.

It was the Nigeria international’s second goal of the season.
“I learned a lot about some people and I thought Nathan Wood was outstanding on his debut, James Bree was excellent coming into the team for us,” Martin said after the game.
“Joe Aribo was the same, the guys that have come in from not playing so much were really outstanding and I’m proud of them for that.”
