The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) on Monday picketed the headquarters of the Kano Electricity Distribution Company (KEDCO) and the office of the National Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) in Kano.
NLC Assistant Secretary, Abbas Ibrahim said the action followed the recent increase in electricity tariff which he said is not acceptable by the union.
Ibrahim said the picketing is been carried out throughout the nation with the demand for a reversal of the tariff.
